How to Program the Garage Door Opener on a Toyota Tundra
Locate the HomeLink Buttons
Locate the HomeLink universal transceiver buttons in the overhead center console. The Tundra has three buttons and can store up to three different garage door openers.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Press and hold the desired HomeLink button until the indicator light turns red, which means it is ready to be programmed.
- Position the remote control for your garage door opener near the HomeLink button and press the remote's button. The HomeLink button will flash rapidly, indicating that it is learning the code.
- Press and release the remote's button several times until the HomeLink button stops flashing and stays solid green.
- Test the HomeLink button by pressing it once. If the garage door opens or closes, the programming is successful.
Additional Information
- If you encounter any difficulties while programming, refer to your Toyota Tundra's owner's manual for specific instructions and troubleshooting tips.
- The HomeLink system is compatible with most garage door openers manufactured after 1995.
- The HomeLink buttons can also be used to control other devices such as security gates, electric locks, and lighting systems.
