Erik ten Hag: Sancho's future at Manchester United uncertain
Dispute between player and manager prompts talk of January exit
United boss unsure when Sancho will return to first-team duties
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has admitted to not knowing if he will ever select Jadon Sancho to. Sancho has been frozen out of the first-team picture at Old Trafford since October and has not played for the club since then.
Ten Hag has previously said that Sancho is not fit enough to play for United, but the player has hit back at the manager's claims, saying that he is fully fit and ready to play.
The dispute between player and manager has led to talk of a January exit for Sancho, with a number of clubs reportedly interested in signing the winger.
Ten Hag, however, has said that he is happy for Sancho to stay at United and fight for his place in the team.
"I'm happy for him," ten Hag said after Sancho's impressive performance for Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday.
"He showed his quality and I'm pleased for him. We have to see how he develops in the coming weeks and months."
However, ten Hag admitted that he does not know when Sancho will be ready to return to first-team duties at United.
"I don't know," ten Hag said. "He's not fit enough to play for us at the moment. We have to wait and see how he develops."
