2023-2024 Dance All Star Age Grid & Divisions Released
Open Championship Series Announces Major Changes
New Combined Divisions, Enhanced Age Grid, and Clearer Eligibility Requirements
The Open Championship Series (OCS) is thrilled to announce the release of its updated 2023-2024 All Star Age Grid and Divisions. These revisions have been meticulously crafted to address the evolving needs of the dance industry and provide a more streamlined and equitable competitive experience for athletes.
One key change is the combination of International Open Divisions with Senior Open Divisions. This move eliminates divisions with similar requirements, ensuring that athletes are competing against their peers with the appropriate level of experience and skill.
Furthermore, the OCS has adopted a revised age grid that allows event producers and industry organizations to easily incorporate it into their own events. The age of the oldest dancer on the floor for a group routine will determine the division in which the group competes.
To ensure clarity and consistency, all athletes must be born within the birth year listed on the age grid. For example, if the required birth year is 2007, the athlete's birth date must be on or after January 1, 2007.
The OCS is committed to providing a fair and equitable platform for all athletes. These updates to the age grid and divisions reflect the organization's dedication to supporting the growth and success of dance in all its forms.
