Equestrian legend to make one last appearance

Dujardin bids farewell to illustrious career

Charlotte Dujardin, the three-time Olympic gold medalist in dressage, has announced her retirement from the sport. The British equestrian will make one final appearance at the World Equestrian Games in Herning, Denmark, before bowing out of competition.

Dujardin has been one of the most dominant forces in dressage for over a decade. She won her first Olympic gold medal in London 2012 with her horse Valegro, and went on to win two more golds and a bronze in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.

Dujardin said she made the decision to retire after feeling like she had achieved everything she could in the sport. "I've had an amazing career and I've been so lucky to have ridden some incredible horses," she said. "But I've decided that it's time for me to move on to the next chapter in my life."

Dujardin's retirement is a major blow to the world of dressage. She is one of the most popular and successful riders in the sport, and her absence from the competition circuit will be felt by fans and athletes alike.
